CAURA RIVER TOUR

The "Rio Caura" region has kept its original character until now, because only few tourists have visited this beautiful area. The lodge is situated in the middle of the rain forest, directly at Caura river front.

From the lodge we start the boat trip to Salto Para, an extraordinary waterfall.

Accompanied by the Yekwana-Makiritare Indians, we learn a lot about their habits and the peculiarity of the rain forest.

At the Caura Lodge the visitor can choose between hammocks and double rooms with private bathrooms. During the three day trip to the Para waterfalls we sleep in hammocks with mosquito nets.

In this trip, you will be able to see some unique and untouched sceneries, far from the crowds.

This tour can be made anytime of the year.
